Marxism–Leninism–Maoism (M–L–M or MLM) is a political philosophy that builds upon Marxism–Leninism and Mao Zedong Thought which was first formalized in 1988 by the Communist Party of Peru - better known as the Shining Path. Marxism–Leninism–Maoism is the higher stage of Marxism–Leninism, just as Marxism–Leninism was considered a higher stage of Marxism. However, Mao Zedong Thought is just Marxism–Leninism applied to the particularities of the Chinese revolution.

Introduction and Commentary to the Maoist Street Code
Marxism-Leninism-Maoism in the First World is manifested differently than it is in the Third World.
The First World Working Class is not Proletariat. The Proletarians of the First World are Lumpen.
With the collapse of the Revolutionary Internationalist Movement and Manuel Rubén Abimael Guzmán Reynoso having fallen into his reactionary political disorder rendering the Shining Path a mere cell of an organization, the need to Hold High the Great Red Banner of Marxism-Leninism-Maoism is a necessity more than ever before.
On January 18th, 2005 an anonymous message was sent throughout the United States and Canada titled Maoist Street Code and this is still the standard today for what Marxist-Leninist-Maoists must uphold in the First World. The Maoist Street Code makes it clear that we ally with Marxist-Leninists and Anarchists. As of more recent years we include both Bundists and Maoist-Third Worldists among those we ally with. Fascism has come to America. It is Right to Rebel against Reactionaries. We stand for Justice and Righteous Struggle. Long live the International Proletarian Struggle.
